Ranch in WY. Fryar and Berry's Eunice bring in some interesting Old Vermont lines. Fiddler's First is mostly Lippitt and High Percent Old Vermont. It is a fun pedigree to inspect more closely.

His maternal grand dam was inbred to Upwey Benn Quietude and also had the LU Sheep Co. bred Starfire and the noted sire, Parade.

Man In Motion. The Morgan Horse Magazine Jan. 2002
Recently we have traveled through some Morgan history from the mid-1950's, courtesy of Western Livestock Journal. Prior to that, we traveled through 1982 in The Morgan Horse Magazine. Now we jump up to 2002. In just 20 years from 1982 to 2002, the look of the show ring Morgans has changed, both in their actual physical look and in how they are presented.
Also in this issue, it can be seen that the Sport Morgan movement was gaining momentum and strength. I shall be presenting items from both worlds as we travel through this first issue of 2002 and then more issues from this year which I shall jump back and forth from 1982 issues to 2002 issues. Our past IS our present.
Man in Motion
This pedigree is mostly Gov't breeding, but get back a ways and Lippitt, Western Working Family, and Brunk can be found.

Upwey Benn Quietude. Western Livestock Journal Oct 1954
Her sire was by the Saddlebred, Upwey King Peavine. The paternal grand dam was bred by the Gov't Farm, and it is interesting to note that the dam of his mare had much of the High Percent Old Vermont horses behind her. Quietude, the dam of Benn Quietude, was out of a mare of pure High Percent Old Vermont blood. Quietude's sire was Troubadour of Willowmoor whose dam was also the High Percent Old Vermont blood. Troubadour, the sire of Troubadour of Willowmoor was bred in Montana by C X Larrabee. Troubadour was Black Hawk and American Trotter blood with Daniel Lambert on the top line.
Benn Quietude had 11 foals; some were for Windcrest, most for Waseeka. All were important show and/or breeding horses.
