Kennebec Count. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Feb 1982

A marvelous pedigree with Lippitt (Kennebec Ethan), Brunk (Jubilee King), Western Working Family (Helen May, bred by Roland Hill, Calif.; mostly Gov't antecedents but the bottom mare line, Hemala, being bred by Richard Sellman, Texas), some Old Vermont (Tootsie, https://beta.allbreedpedigree.com/tootsie-iuoB0KxW/pedigree who has an interesting pedigree with some Gov't but other lines also; and Lusealect, sired by Sealect who is one of the Lippitt Foundation sires and her dam Lucy https://beta.allbreedpedigree.com/lucy-CR57eeJN/pedigree who was some solid Morgan and then Standardbred), and Government Farm lines (Scott's Hero, bred by Leonard Wales, VT). Count shows how these families could blend together in a lovely manner; he was a tribute to his breeder, Margaret Gardiner of Maine. She bred for using Morgans, Morgans that could do jobs. Her Kennebec Morgans were a tribute to her astute ability as a breeder.
Count was sire of 60 get and was three times  National Pairs Combined Driving Champion.
