Her sire was by the Saddlebred, Upwey King Peavine. The paternal grand dam was bred by the Gov't Farm, and it is interesting to note that the dam of his mare had much of the High Percent Old Vermont horses behind her. Quietude, the dam of Benn Quietude, was out of a mare of pure High Percent Old Vermont blood. Quietude's sire was Troubadour of Willowmoor whose dam was also the High Percent Old Vermont blood. Troubadour, the sire of Troubadour of Willowmoor was bred in Montana by C X Larrabee. Troubadour was Black Hawk and American Trotter blood with Daniel Lambert on the top line.
Benn Quietude had 11 foals; some were for Windcrest, most for Waseeka. All were important show and/or breeding horses.
