Lippitt Morman. Western Livestock Journal Oct. 1954

His sire was Gov't and his dam was Lippitt, thus he was 1/2 Lippitt.
The Gov't Farm convinced Robert Lippitt Knight to bring some of his mares to be bred to their stallions. Knight sent some of his best and favorite mares, including Morman's dam, Lippitt Kate Moro. Morman was foaled in 1939.

Chestnut, wide strip & snip, rh sock white, 1100-1120 lbs. Bred by RL Knight. First stallion to win the gruelling 100 Mile endurance ride in Woodstock, VT [1946]. Purchased by Roland Hill and taken to CA. Photo taken in CA with then owner Merle Little up.
The photo referred to above is the first one below. The second photo below is also w/Merle Little. The third and bottom photos are w/the man who rode him in the Vermont 100. 
Morman sired 47 registered get. Just some of them include:
Coffey Choice, good dam in Oregon.
Kedron Beatrice, produced for Lorwin Morgans as did some of her daughters.
Morman's Red Lady, dam of Wenonah, dam of Tacina.
Poco's Star Duster, sire.
Princess Victoria, dam for Triton.
Toni Allen, behind King Salaman.
