It is interesting to note the level of inbreeding in her dam.
A son of Clistie was bred to a granddaughter of Clistie.
The paternal grandparents were full siblings.
All this gave the dam of Maryjane, the mare Ashland Dark Mist.
Ashland Donson, the sire of Dark Mist's grand dam, has an interesting Old Vermont dam, Firefly's Lady Jane, both of whose grand dams are the same horse. Other than her sire, of whom there is no information, she is the High Percent Old Vermont lines.
