Going down his bottom mare line, look at Jemina.
Her sire was a Hackney. Her dam was sired by a Standardbred. However, her maternal grand dam, Shelburne Maid, had a rich Morgan heritage; take a look here--
Jemina and her daughter, Little Troub (by Troubadour of Willowmoor), were unregistered. Little Troub was bred to Mansfield and that result was Lady Field who was then X registered. This was the purpose of the X rule, to bring back rich Morgan blood that otherwise would have been lost.
Schoolmaster sired 135 registered get. Many of these bred on.
