Bred by that astute breeder, Francis Bryant of Vermont, Poppy was sold to another astute breeder, Eve Oakley, of California, then moved to Illinois, then back to California.
Poppy's sire, Lippitt Ashmore, was a good sire. Poppy's dam, Jubilee's Amber, was by Jubilee King and out of Towhshend Lass whose sire was the beautiful Lippitt, John A. Darling; Lass was out of an Old Vermont High Percent mare whose antecedents were the same as the Lippitt Foundation horses.
Poppy had 10 foals.
Caven-Glo Voyager went to Canada where he has line of descents to today.
Caven-Glo Pandora was dam of Caven-Glo Challenger and Caven-Glo Topaz, both of whom had foals for The Quietude Stud.
Others of Poppy's produce were used for breeding.
