Bred by the Beckleys in Washington, his sire was the Gov't Sonfield, who sired so many in California and later in Washington.
Arana's dam, Lady Margaret, was also Washington bred. Her sire, Highland Glen, was Montana bred and his sire was the old Montana breeding of Thomas Adams. The dam of Highland Glen was bred in Washington from Gov't stock.
The dam of Lady Margaret was bred by the LU Sheep Co., WY.
Arana Field sired 62 registered Morgans, many for his owner Phil Morrison, and many for other people. He has descendants today.
