He was all Brunk except for the Gov't stallion, Haven. He was bred by Ernest McElhinney of Morning Sun, Iowa, who bred some good Morgans of mostly Brunk stock.
From the All Breed site--"Sunday was about 15 hands with one of the prettiest trots I have ever seen. He had a huge eye, but was kind of straight headed." That head likely came from his Illawana ancestor. The Illawana prefix Morgans sometimes had a longer and straighter head.
Sunday Hawk sired 44 registered get. One son was Arkomia Barrington who sired some nice ones. Another son was AOM Sunday's Magic who sired for Kim Viker's GR prefix, as well as SFFM prefix. Other of Sunday Hawk's get bred on to one extent or another.
