Choice Master. The Morgan Horse Magazine, late 1940s

Foaled 1932, bred by Roland Hill. His sire was the Gov't, Querido. His dam was a Richard Sellman mare, sired by Headlight Morgan and out of a mare by The Admiral.
In 1934, Hill sold him to Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores in Oceanside, CA. In 1942, he was sold to Clarence Story, of Fallbrook, CA. Then in 1945, he was sold again, to William Burnie, of La Verne, CA. There were no further recorded transfers.
He sired only 8 registered get and only two of those had any registered get of their own. However, one of those was the mare Choice Mistress. She was foaled in 1947, bred by Burnie.
She had foals for Kennebec Morgans, including Kennebec Fieldmistress, who had foals for Kennebec.
Choice Mistress was dam of Master Corisor, who sired some.
Choice Mistress had some other fillies with the prefix Mistress who bred on to a small extent.
Then Choice Mistress had Mistress Dollidawn, who had Orcland Supreme Aire and others.
Finally, Choice Mistress was dam of Mistress Merridawn (sired by Lippitt Ethan Don).
Mistress Merridawn had some good foals, but is most noted for her son Troutbrook Playboy who sired 86 registered get and comes down to today.

Second photo below is Mistress Merridawn.
