Sunflower King. The Morgan Horse Magazine. circa early 1050s


Bred in Kansas, Sunflower King was sired by the California bred Techachapi Allan and out of a Kansas mare, Isobel, both of her parents being bred by Elmer Brown, and she was inbred to that excellent sire, Linsley. 
Sunflower King had 32 get and was a foundation sire for Stuart Hazard's program. Some of his get include: 
--Eventide, dam for Funquest, dam of: Funquest Bentide, sire for Rockridge; Funquest Redtide, dam of Funquest Gojekell, who sired Pinehaven Chief and other Pinehaven horses; and others. 
--Funquest Sukallis, dam of Triton Sabrina, and others. 
--Funquest Sunella, dam for Funquest.
--Sun Dot, dam of Golden Dot, dam for Funquest and Rebelaire. 
--Sunbuster, sire of some who bred on. 
--Sundo, dam of some who bred on. 
--Sunelda, dam for Funquest.
