Bonfire. The Morgan Horse Magazine. circa early 1950's

The sire of Bonfire, Senator Graham, was bred in Kansas by Elmer Brown using Brunk Morgans. Senator Graham then went to the L U Sheep Co of WY. where he sired many good ones. Senator Graham then went to the midwest, owned by Helen Greenwalt who wanted to bring the Brunk blood back home.
The dam of Bonfire, Luscious, was bred by the L U Sheep Co. and was sired by the Elmer Brown bred Plains King (he was sired by the Sellman bred Romanesque, and out of a Linsley daughter)  who stood at the LU ranch for some years before being sold to Michigan. The dam of Luscious was the Brunk bred Flyhawk, and her dam, Dinah, was sired by the Elmer Brown bred Linspar by Linsley.
In short, Bonfire had a great pedigree.
However, he had only 12 registered get.
Some of the get were:
--Bonny Ellen, dam of Highland Gay Bonny (dam of Porvenir and Serendipity Morgans).
--Celebration, sire of Higuera Bandido (who sired a lot with lines to today) and others.
--Flaette, dam of Glenor, Stardust, and Turnpike prefix Morgans.
