Here is an example of how Gov't breeding could match up with Lippitt.
His sire was Gov't bred.
His dam was sired by a Lippitt and out of a mare who was of the Old Vermont High Percent lines and some Old Vermont that was not High Percent (Lady Jane) although there is some High Percent behind her. 

He sired 82 registered get. 
Many of these were for Porvenir in New Mexico and many of those with the Porvenir prefix went on to show careers and as breeding stock. Many others also bred on to one extent or another.
