Bred by Clarence Shaw, Walla Walla WA.
His sire, Silver Rockwood, was bred by Robert Tynan, Neb., sired by Tynan's Brunk stallion, Agazizz, and out of the Elmer Brown bred mare, May Rockwood.
The Roland Hill bred mare, Katrina Field, was Rockfield's dam.
Rockfield came from a solid back ground of working Morgans.
Sire of over 100 registered get, most for the Shawalla prefix of his owner, many of those get bred on to today and are highly valued.
