He had a wonderful pedigree. His sire, Anndy Pershing, came to California after a dispersal sale in Iowa. Anndy Pershing was pure Old Midwest Family, thus bringing some different bloodlines to California.
Orron's dam, Almond Joy, was sired by the handsome and correct Sun Down Morgan, who was bred by that first importer of Texas Morgans, F A Fickert. Sun Down Morgan's sire, Raven Chief, was bred by Sellman in Texas, but his sire, Morgan Chief was Kansas bred and was heavy in the blood of the Morrill's, going back to Bulrush.
Texsky, the dam of Sun Down Morgan, was also bred by Sellman and also brings in the Kansas Morrill blood.
The dam of Almond Joy, was bred by Roland Hill and shows his typical breeding.
Orron sired 31 registered Morgans.
Bonnie Breeze, Enchanted Lady, Nina De Oro, Oriana, Oriana Breeze, and Seafarers Irish Rose all bred on to one extent or another. However, if any of Orron's descendants come to today, it is a very tiny number.
