He did sire some.
His pedigree is an interesting study of how the Old Vermont High Percent blood came down.
Behind Upwey King Benn is Audrey and her dam Carolyn who did have a Standardbred grand sire but the rest of her pedigree is the old lines.
Quietude was sired by the great Trouadour of Willowmoor, whose dam was the old lines. Quietude's dam was also of that blood.
Bald Mt. Carol was nearly a Lippitt in blood.
The dam of Montezuma was sired by Orcland Dondarling who was out of a Lippitt mare and whose sire, except for his sire line, was also the old blood.
Gay Dancer also had plenty of that old high percent blood behind him.
Finally, on the very bottom mare line there is some good Brunk, Western Working Family, and some Old Midwest.
I do like his looks!
