Sparfield. TMH. June 1980

His double great grand sire, Sparbeau, was bred by Elmer Brown, Kansas, as was Joaquin Morgan (down in the lower mare line). Brown was truly a cornerstone of the Western Working Family. 
Close up in this pedigree was the Hunewill Ranch of eastern California. 
Roland Hill's breeding is much in evidence here also. 
And behind Hill's mares, we have Richard Sellman of Texas, another of the cornerstones of the Western Working Family. 
This important sire had 60 registered get.
His conformation is lovely and correct. 
His breed type is unmistakeable.
