Lippitt Mint Don. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

Upper from TMH
Lower from the AllBreed site
He was sold in the 1962 Lippitt Farm Dispersal after Robert Lippitt Knight's death. He sold for $2200, which was a darn good price for that time period.
He sired only a few Full Lippitts but sired quite a few overall.
See Jay Donna was one of his Full Lippitt offspring and she was dam of Royalton Herbie and Royalton Julian.
Some of his other get bred on to one extent or another.

Hylee's Justa Parade. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

Beautifully bred. Check out the level of close breeding behind him.
He had 18 get. Some bred on but I don't think we have anything today.

Rimlo Black Valiant. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

An intensely inbred pedigree in that he is the result of a mare being bred to her son.
He sired 114 get.
He is the maternal grandsire of the prolific stallion, RKT Nordic Butterfly.
Many others of his bred onwards.

Morganmeadow Elessar. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

His pedigree was not only 3/4th Gov't but that was coming from Merle D Evans' program, some from before he used the Devan prefix (Fleetwing & Silver Hawk).
He sired a few.

Morgans In England. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

Darlene's Farm. Classic Morgan Admirers. Spring. 1990

I remember Bellmara Black Rose there. She was a lovely, solid, correct, typey mare.

Deja Vu Morgans Classic Morgan Admirers. Spring 1990

Quietude Castile is the maternal grand sire of Rolling Acres Legend who has sired for Serene Tyme Morgans and others.

Sancrest Monte Don. Classic Morgan Admirers Spring 1990.

His pedigree is 3/4 Western Working Family.
His paternal grand dam, Waer's Cameo, came from California and she was sired by Rex's Major Monte. Her dam was sired by Monte L. who was also sire of Rex's Major Monte. The sire of Monte L, Major R M, was bred by Elmer Brown, Kansas.
Sincerest Monte Don's dam, Ben Lomond Dorkas, we find another line to Rex's Major Monte. There is more Calif. back there as Red Gates and Sallysen were California breds. James R M is another Elmer Brown bred. Captain Kellogg was bred in Nebraska but was pure Sellman breeding. Finally on the bottom line we have Gay Maid, a double Jubilee King grand daughter. She was bred by C W Anderson, the famous illustrator of children's horse books.
Sancrest Montey Don had 9 get.

Moro Hills Marquis. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

Take a look at his pedigree, inbred to Dyberry Ethan and also to Alrita.
His son, Shamrock Seville, was a noted show horse in different divisions and sired 30 get.
His daughters, Ransomvale Sue Moro, and Ransomevale Kate, produced for Edgewood Morgans.
Another daughter, Patoka Tami Jill, was featured here recently.
He had many other get.
This ad was part of The Lippitt Club group ad.

Westwood Lady of Cin. Classic Morgan Admirers. Spring 1990

Her sire was Gov't and Brunk. Her dam was bred by Geo. Cross & Son WY and was Western Working Family with mostly Brunk behind her.
She had 9 foals.
She has a thin line to today behind Northern Cross prefix.

Measuring Morgans. The Morgan Horse Magazine, Jan-Feb 1978

I sorta remember reading this article way back when I got this issue. I did wade thru the entire thing but did not go out and measure any of my horses.

Wesbrook Benfire. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

Go back a ways into his dam's pedigree. There are some interesting things to study on.
Some of his get did breed on a ways but it appears there is nothing to today.

Royalton Nabob. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

It appears that he did not sire much or anything as I had to add him to the AllBreed site. I also had to add his sire who did sire a few.
He was 1/2 Lippitt as his dam was full Lippitt.

Sid Spencer and the Colt Pasture. Classic Morgan Admirers. Spring 1990

Sid was a treasure and bred some darn good Morgans.
This article gives a good glimpse of who she was and what she did. Robbie mentions the fire but Sid also lost a chunk of her ranch when the county and state took it to create a resoviour, Lake Lopez.

Patoka Tami Jill. Classic Morgan Admirers. Spring 1990

This lower photo was taken Jan. 2015 when she was 36 years old.
From the AllBreed site.

Full Lippitt with Moro Hills, Royalton, and close-up Lippitt prefix mare on her papers in the first 2 generations.
She is the maternal grand-dam of Morgandy's Melody who had a filly in 2022, Brook Hill Temptation.

Old California Style: with Morgans. by A. Clark McKee. from Classic Morgan Admirers. Spring 1990

By profession, Clark was a photographer (he took the photos of Clarion that I used in ads; he also took the picture of Moro Hills Micah that appeared in one of the registry volumes.)
He was also a lover of the Old California style of Horsemanship.

Royalton Ashline. Classic Morgan Admirers. &. The Morgan Horse Magazine, Jan-Feb 1978

The first page is from TMH, in the Lippitt Club group ad.
The rest of the pages are from Classic Morgan Admirers.
I had asked Clara for something about Roy for this issue; and she came through brilliantly.
He sired many foals and can be found behind Lippitts today.

There is a nice photo of him at the above link.
He sired some with a few breeding on. He has a line down to some Statesman prefix horses, and some Baymont's prefix.
