Lippitt Pecos. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Jan-Feb 1978

Upper from TMH
Lower from the AllBreed site
Neither photo does him justice. In person he was so typey and handsome.
His dam was full Lippitt.
His sire was by Cornwallis (full Lippitt) and his dam was Gov't and Old Vermont (some of which was High Percent).
He was sold in the 1962 Lippitt Farm dispersal for $2500, a good price for a young horse at that time. He then came west to California.
He sired 89 get.
His son, Triton Dallas, sired for Apple Pi Morgans and there are descendants today.
Many of his daughters went on to become good producing mares.
