AMHA #8246

AMHA #8246. Dappled Bay, star, lh sock white. Foaled 5/15/1939, Middlebury, VT. Originally named Jefferson. Bred by USDA, VT. Registered Morgan progeny: 24 colts, 17 fillies (bay, brown, chestnut). Sire line does not trace back to Justin Morgan, rather to Messenger as his sire, though registered Morgan, was a Saddlebred with only remote Morgan crosses and 4% of Morgan blood. The Morgan influence of Upwey King Benn comes through his strongly bred dam.
