Damon Ashmore. The Morgan Horse Magazine. Feb 1984

Upper from TMH
Lower from the AllBreed site
Damon is considered to be 1/2 Lippitt as his sire was full Lippitt.
His dam was 50% Lippitt as both her parents were 1/2 Lippitts.
Then, tracing down the bottom mare line, there is Gladwin, who while not a Lippitt or a Lippitt Foundation horse, was of the same bloodlines as the Foundation horses.
DamonAshmore was only 1/8th Brunk, from that grand producing mare, Paragraph, who was dam of his maternal grand sire.
Damon's dam, Spring Darling, had many good foals with many breeding on. She had a full sister to Damon, Dolly Ashmore, who went to The Quietude Stud and had many good foals there. One of those was my own Clarion of Quietude. Clarion looked a lot like Damon, and I can see that same look in Morris Ashmore, son of Damon, pictured above. I have seen photos of Lippitt Ashmore and see the same look.
Damon had some get with some being used in breeding. I don't know if there are lines to today.
