Cherokee Gilmore--(Highview King x Mallow) 1944, bred by L U Sheep Co, WY. sired a few.
Lady Helen--(Plains King x Grovont) 1943, bred by LU Sheep. had many foals with most breeding on. 
Mallow--(Linspar x Larkspur by Flyhawk) 1934, bred by LU Sheep. had many foals, some coming down to today.

The Lippitt and Western Working Family cross was usually a very good one.

Especially was another of the Theis Co. mares shipped from Kansas to Rhode Island's Broadwall Farm. Especially goes back to Sentney and Elmer Brown breeding from Kansas.

Bar-T Superman. TMH. 9/63


Steve Tompkins was Bar-T Morgans. Orcland Leader was his beloved stallion. He sired many Bar-T Morgans and his get continued on for Tompkins. Tompkins not only bred with Leader, but also took him successfully to shows and did pleasure trail rides.

Townshend Sealois--(Sealect x Gladloss) 1944. had 2 foals.

Townshend Starlet--(Cornwallis x Gladloss) 1949, had 11 foals. some bred on.
Gladloss--(John A. Darling x Gladwin 0876) 1930. had 12 foals. Most bred on.

Anna Ela (Townshend Farm) started with high percent Old Vermont lines and stuck with that, then went out some, in this case to Gov't. The Townshend Morgans are still known for their type and over-all goodness.

Miller's Pride--(Woodland Chief x Gertie G.) 1948, bred by Miller. sired a few.
Woodland Chief--(Allenwood x Manscot Lullaby) 1934, bred in VT. Many of his get bred on, coming down into late last century and probably to today. 

Allenwood--(Sir Ethan Allen x Jenny Woodbury) 1929, bred by E A Darling, VT. Darling preceeded Lippitt but he bred many who became Lippitt Foundation later. Allenwood has this old blood. 

Manscot Lullaby--(Mansfield x Scottana) 1927, bred in Vt. had only the one foal. 

Gertie G.--(Tipperary x Fryar) 1938, bred by Thirlstane Ranch, Maine. had 8 registered foals, some bred on.
Tipperary--(Mansfield x Folly) 1926, bred by US Morgan Horse Farm, VT. did not sire a lot, but many bred on. 
Fryar--(Billy K. Allen 6602, by Ethan Allen 3rd 3987, x Nod by Acme 5227 by Daniel Allen 5784 by DeLong's Ethan Allen 1550, and out of Peggy with Hambletonian blood.)Had 3 registered foals. 


Miller's Glory--(Lippitt Scofield x Bay) 1948 mare, bred by Charles Horton, VT. sold to Miller
had 8 registered foals, some bred on.

Lippitt Scofield--(Mansfield x Ne Komia) 1939, bred by Robert Knight. sired a few. He was result of the deal Knight made with the Gov't Farm to do some exchange breedings. Knight sent some of his best mares to be bred by the Gov't Farm. 

Bay x-05233--(Billy Morgan 6707 x Betty by Pete Morgan 5411) This was some of the high Percent Old Vermont blood that would have been lost without the X Rule. 1935 mare bred in Vt. She had 5 registered foals. Her son Bayfield sired only a few but two were for Kennebec Farm and they bred on for Kennebec.

This is a fascinating old pedigree that shows how some of those breeders in Vermont were hewing to the old blood and the old type, each in their own way.
