Once again, I am putting up some poor quality copies. Way back, 1980-1983, I worked at Calif. Poly. Univ., Pomona in the library. In the stacks of bound periodicals was Western Livestock Journal starting from 1938. I went through these, page by page, and using the photocopy machines, made copies of all the Morgan items. Some of the volumes were very tightly bound making it impossible to copy all the way into the inner column. Also, the photo copy machines of that era were not what we have today. But I figure that a poor quality item is better than none at all.
Jack Davis was a very important breeder and his horses and their descendants ended up all across the U.S.
Red Vermont was a result of the master breeder, J C Brunk, who successfully danced the intricate dance of inbreeding and line breeding. Red's pedigree shows this.
The AllBreed site lists just 50 of his get. Many are found in today's Morgans.
The photo above the article is of Red Vermont and is from the AllBreed site.
