Prince of Pride. TMH. 10/63

1956
bred by Mosher Bros. Utah. Good sire and performance horse in Colorado

(Dickie's Pride x Utah Queen)

Utah Queen--(Ronnyayr x Firefly) 1949, bred by Mosher Bros. They were  breeding Morgans for cattle ranch work. Also, they were both large men and needed a good sized, stout horse.
Utah Queen had 10 registered foals and most bred on.

Ronnyayr--(Rileyayr x Myra L.) 1945, bred by Charles Ayer, who used an address of Wall St. NY, but whose ranch was in Colorado. This stallion had only two registered get.
Rileyayr--(Jack Sprat x Angela K.) 1941, bred by Ayer. had 5 registered get.
Jack Sprat--(Spotlight x Gold Floss) 1928, bred by H T Hineman Dighton Kansas. This was a working cattle ranch and the Morgans were bred for that work. This stallion had numerous foals.
Spotlight--(Dr. Castro x Gold June) 1923, bred by Hineman. had 5 registered get.
Dr. Castro--(Headlight Morgan x Diamond, by Young Telescope by Telescope Ethan 1562) 1908, bred by Fred Skinner, Meade Kansas. He was the owner of Headlight Morgan before that stallion went to Richard Sellman in Texas.
Gold Floss--(Golddust Abdallah 5145 x Flora by Goldsheen 4971, out of mare by Defiance Golddust son of Ensigh Golddust 2370) 1913, bred by L L Dorsey, KY. Linebred to that good stallion Golddust and one of the few sources of that stallion to make it to today [barely].
Gold June--(Ben Franklin 1508 x June, tracing to Chester Dare & Dashwood) 1911, bred in KY.
Myra L.--(Romanesque x Maggy Linsley, by Linsley) 1934, bred by Elmer Brown, KAN.
Angela K.--(Querido x Angelina) 1930, bred by Roland Hill, CA.
Angelina--(Texas Allen x Mollie B.)
This is a fascinating pedigree, showing how the early Kansas ranch breeders were using stock bred not only in their areas but also from breeders further afield.

Firefly x-04994--(Chief Bugler x Lillie by Hal Mercury Jr. 6891) 1935, bred by J C Jackson, MT
