The Combination Class was a fun one. The entries came in showing in harness to a pleasure cart. They were judged as driving horses, then stopped and helpers came into the ring. Harness & carts were removed, and the horses were saddled up with English flat saddles. Then they were judged on riding. These classes filled well, even back in 1979 when I started to go to Morgan shows.

I love this pedigree. Clark Ringling was not at all afraid of some intense inbreeding. He was on a very isolated ranch in mid-Nevada and breeding for working ranch horses that he could safely ride and use for cattle work.
