And that story about Naomi?--that is exactly how it happened. They came to visit Westy and ended up getting Naomi. Naomi stayed here until about a month after weaning. Since I live 2 miles back on dirt roads, and she was to be transported in a semi, I tapped a neighbor w/a horse trailer to haul Naomi out the dirt road to meet the semi. Naomi had never been off my place but loaded onto the trailer fine, then off load out at the pavement and onto the semi truck horse hauler. The shipper told the Griswolds that she had been a pleasure to transport. She then took over their lives, as she had ours.

1988 mare. Bred by David & Laura Stillwell Algranti, Sage, CA. 

Sold to Darlene's Farm (Mike & Darlene MacDonnell), Ramona, CA. 

They came to visit and meet Westy, Nicole's sire, but Nicole marched up to them and told them that they were now her humans. They bought her and after she was weaned, off she went to them. {It is interesting to note that her full sister, SSM W Naomi Nekomia, a 1989 mare, did the same thing to Bob & Riki Griswold when they came to visit in 1989.}

Nicole later moved to Ute Mt. Morgans, Claire Wagner, and had foals there. Her daughter, Ute Mt. Natalie, is the dam of Ute Mt.Nihla, a 2021 mare.
