Pepper. Western Livestock Journal. Feb. 1939

It is interesting to study what is behind his dam. By taking that pedigree back, it can be seen that Richard Sellman was using Morgan mares. Note the three crosses to Young Octroon #1715 and check out his pedigree.
Pepper had 10 registered get with four breeding on.

The main article on this page is by Jack Davis, owner of Red Vermont.
The short piece on the right column, "Starts Right With Morgans" is about Pepper's owner.

The Morgan Horse Club, forerunner of today's AMHA, has an ad.
The Stallion for sale was North Fork,
He sired some that bred on.
