Blackhaux. Western Livestock Journal, Feb. 1939


Note correct spelling of name--Blackhaux
Bred by Duval Williams, an early Calif. breeder who bred some important Morgans. 
Blackhaux was from Richard Sellman bred stock and carried two crosses to Headlight Morgan and two to Major Antoine.
he sired only 7 registered get. 
His son, Gold Dollar, was owned by W T Carter and sired a great many progeny, most with Gold D in their name (Kings River Morgan was a notable exception to this). Gold Dollar has many lines of descent to today. 
Hedlite, also bred by Duval Williams, had 20 get with 10 breeding on. He sired for Mary Smith's Hedlite prefix, also for Cresta's prefix, and others. He has multiple lines of descent to today. 
Joebie, a mare, was also bred by Williams. She was dam of 5 registered produce. Bugle Anne was the only one who bred on, having 3 produce. Lady Bee was the only one of Bugle Anne's that bred on and she produced for Shawalla prefix.
