Tarik's Radiant Melody. TMH. 10/63

I could not find this horse in the registry volumes.
However, all the Tarik horses go to Upwey Prince Tarik x-07861,
foaled 1926, bred by Owen Moon, VT.
He was out of a mare called Fanny, "bred by Frederick Billings, Sr. VT. Her sire was a horse known as Beaumont, produced from American Saddle stock brought to Vermont from Kentucky by Mr. Billings." That quote was from the entry for Upwey Prince Tarik, Reg. Vol. 5, p 61. But on Reg. Vol. 5, p 137, under Upwey Don x-04926, who was out of a mare who was out of Fanny, it reads "Fanny by Beaumont out of Lassie, American Trotting Stock." And, on pate 61, back to Upwey Prince Tarik, his 2nd dam is "said to be Vermont Morgan breeding."

The sire of Upwey Prince Tarik is Tarik x-7202, foaled 1907, bred by Dr. A. H. Hinman, Ill. owned by Spencer Borden, MA. Sired by La Porte 4336 who was inbred and the Old Vermont High Percent stock. The dam of Tarik was Modest Morgan by Brainerd Horse (Charlie) 474, who was also the Old Vermont High Percent. Tarik's 2nd dam was a chestnut by Briggs Horse  son of Warner Horse 658, also the Old Vermont High Percent lines.
