The following is what I wrote when I first posted this in OldMorgans.blogspot.com, March 2009--
Foaled 1943, bred by Owen Moon, Upwey Farm. His dam must have been sold while carrying him.
His sire, Upwey King Peavine, although registered as a Morgan, was actually a pure Saddlebred.
His dam, was Upwey Emerald Goldy, foaled 1930, bred in Illinois. Her sire, Emerald King 5491, was in actuality also a Saddlebred. The dam of Emerald Goldy was Canary Bird, registered with the A. T. R., the Standardbred registry.
Valley View King had only one registered get and comes down to today through some of the Teton/Tetonia prefixed Morgans.

His daughter, Abbie Rigby, had some foals, including Tetonia Fawn (dam for Bessia Morgans and Teton/Tetonia), Teton Abe (sire for Red Mountain Morgans).
Another daughter of King Rits was Jenny Mac who was dam of some, including Amador Prince (sire for Amadaor Morgans), Jenny Lee ( dam of Teton Gay Mac who sired for Loney's prefix), Rubby Red (dam for Teton/Tetonia), Tetonia Suzanne (dam for Teton/Tetonia).
There were other get descending from King Rits that bred on to one degree or another.
