Trophy's Jade. The Morgan Horse Magazine Oct 1980

A very good sire of 104 registered get with ever so many going on to be good breeding horses themselves as well as good show horses.
His sire was the great Trophy, bred by the US Gov't Farm and sold to D.F. Switzler, who made some very good breeding choices for him.
The dam of Jade came from Michigan, bred by Alexander Ruthven. The dam, Ruthven's Nancy Ann, was dam of many very good Morgans who also bred onwards and did well in the show ring. Nancy Ann came from a good line of very good breeding mares. Her sire was the very good sire, Lippitt Moro Ash, who did much to help popularize Morgans in the Midwest.
Ruthven's Beatrice Ann, dam of Nancy Ann, was sired by the great Cornwallis, and herself produced many very good foals. Her dam, Gill, was also a very good producing mare with many good foals.
Thus, Trophy's Jade came from strong lines all thru his pedigree.
